Whitwell Makes It Two In A Row Heading Into USA Raceways
Memorial Day Modified Double Header
Kevin Montgomery Tucson, Arizona (May 22nd,
2010) - RC Whitwell used a late race pass on Mark Harrison
to win his second Barnett Harley Davidson UMP West
Modified feature in a row. Whitwell will carry his
momentum into USA Raceway's Memorial Day double header
featuring two complete shows each paying $1000 to win.
Whitwell made his way from his seventh starting position
to move into the lead and would stay out front for the
remainder of the 25-Lap feature. Whitwell crossed the
line just ahead of Las Cruces' Jimmy Ray and Nick O'Neil
who drove from the rear of the filed after spinning to
maintain his second place point's position just ahead of
Ray.
Josh Partain grabbed his first victory of the year by
winning the 20-Lap Factory Stock feature while Ted
Robinson stretched his points lead just slightly over AJ
Huebner by capturing the 20-Lap X-Mod feature.
Josh Allred also made it two in a row as hey dominated the
FWD Hornet Feature with last year's champion, Duane Jones,
taking home the hardware in RWD Hornet action.
Brian Stehr followed suit with his second consecutive
Dwarf Car win at USA.
