The Month of May Means Modifieds At USA Raceway

Kevin Montgomery Tucson, Arizona (May 17^th, 2010) - The meaning of May is relative to who you ask.  Some think that May is synonymous with Cinco De Mayo, which was described by a fellow racer and radio host as an American drinking holiday, while others might associate it with the Greek Goddess Maia for which it is named.  At USA Raceway the month of May means Modifieds!

RC Whitwell and company will kick of the Barnett Harley Davidson UMP West Modified festival this Saturday night May 22^nd as top notch drivers from the Southwest will gear up for the fast action at Tucson's USA Raceway.

With three different winners in the first three rounds of UMP Modified action, it is a toss up as to who may snare the $1000 winner's prize leading into the famous Memorial Day double header.  Jimmy Ray took the opening ceremonies to kick off the 2010 season and currently sits 3^rd in championship standings just a few points behind the "Big Un" Nick O'Neil who has taken the high road to get there.  Whitwell leads the charge with a narrow point gap between him and O'Neil.

Cory "the Hustler" Hosler sits fourth with "Dynamite" Dane Jorgenson rounding out the top five in an early championship battle that resembles an old WWF cage match.

Joining the stars of the Barnett Harley Davidson UMP Modifieds on May 22nd will be the X-Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Hornets and Dwarfs.  General admission tickets will go on sale at 4pm for only $12, racing will begin promptly at 6:45pm.
