
San Felipe, NM (April 28th, 2009) - The legendary
voice of Manzanita Speedway, Windy McDonald, will honor Buddy Taylor as a guest
announcer for the 30th running of the Buddy Taylor Memorial. McDonald, who
spent the better part of 50 years at Manzanita Speedway, will make his way to
Hollywood Hills Speedway to honor the Albuquerque legend.
A huge display of open wheel racing is set to take center stage as drivers from
Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado all make their way to
Hollywood Hills Speedway in search of stardom.
Sprint car and midget drivers from all over the southwest will be on hand
competing for more than $30k in purse money. The Discount Tire ASCS Sprint cars
will set their sites on the $2500 to win grand prize while the AMRA/RMMRA
Midgets will shoot for a $1500 winners share.
Mini Sprints will also be in action completing an open wheel trio that fans will
not want to miss.
Hollywood Hills Speedway is located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe off of
